Vehicle Overview
After the 250 GTO and the 288 GTO, the 599 GTO was just the third GTO model, and it revived the three letters that are most representative of Ferrari. The 599 GTO was not only a homologation variant of the 599XX because they had more in mind than just racing. Instead, it had performance credentials of its own, earning its revered letters.This car shares many similarities with the 599XX version including the same Crankshaft, intake and exhaust system, and a more refined version of the Pistons and Connecting rods. Under the hood, the 599 GTO's 6.0 Liter V12 engine produces 670 horsepower and revs to 8,500 rpm. It was coupled to a single-clutch automatic gearbox that could make changes in as little as 60 milliseconds. With this setup, the highest speed was 208 mph, while the 0-60 mph sprint took 3.35 seconds. In addition, a modified version of the HGTE package's magnetorheological automatic-adjusting shocks were fitted to the GTO. The GTO was more refined and subdued than the Ferrari Enzo while simultaneously being quicker and sharper. Ferrari acknowledged that the 599 GTO could lap Fiorano a second faster than the Enzo at the time and referred to it as their "most extreme sports vehicle."

This includes extras like Nero leather upholstery($5,823 option), Daytona Style inserts($3,777 option) with Rosso Daytona Stripes(additional $842 option), Full Recaro Style Bucket Seats($4,564 option), red-colored air vents and much more.
Just 125 of the 599 total models, including this Rosso Corsa with Nero Opaco Roof model, were constructed by Ferrari and were designated for the American market.
